Do you use airbrush foundation?

 

Yes, we TEMPTU s/b airbrush foundation. Every makeup artist on the team is trained in the industry standard HD airbrush foundation, TEMPTU Pro Airbrush Makeup. We also use traditional foundations like Estee Lauder Double Wear. 

 

What is airbrush foundation? 

 

Airbrush makeup is makeup sprayed onto the skin using an airbrush instead of being applied with sponges, brushes, fingers, or other methods. Airbrush makeup has become more popular with the advent of high-definition (HD) photography. Traditional powder or liquid based make-up can settle and appear in pores and wrinkles and be visible on HD film. As the makeup is sprayed on, it connects with the skin as millions of droplets of formula. The formula can create an even, sheer, natural appearance to the skin that, if applied properly for a natural look, can appear natural and non-heavy like traditional makeup. Airbrush makeup wears longer than traditional powder or liquid foundation, and is able to stay put upwards of 12–24 hours. It can be used to cover five o'clock shadows for men. Application wise, the technique is more sanitary than traditional makeup application due the artist never having to touch the skin. It's also faster, if done by a trained artist.

 

Are lashes included in the price? 

 

Lashes are always included in the price for all services except Junior Bridesmaids and Flower girls.

 

Do you charge for travel? 

 

We do not charge for travel in Tucson, Green Valley, Phoenix and its surrounding metro area. Any towns outside of this area are subject to a .55/mile roundtrip travel fee. 

 

What is in the touchup kit that I receive at my wedding?

 

As a gift to you, you will receive a full sized HVH Lipstick in your color, mini lash glue, blotting papers, q-tips, beauty bag, and bobby-pins. We also carry inventory and sell our own brand of HVH Makeup & Hair Lipsticks, Lip Glosses, and Liquid Lips if you would like a secondary color or if any of your party would like their own lipstick.

 

 

Will my makeup and hair last all night?

 

YES! Our makeup and hairstyles are built to last! We use all waterproof and long-wearing makeup products. All of our hairstylists are trained to build a hairstyle that will withstand the days demands as well.

 

How do I book you or your team?

 

For special events (engagements, maternity, parties, head-shots), we require 50% payment to secure the date. For weddings we require a contract, quote, and $500 deposit to secure your date. We are a group of 12 artists, and dates book out suddenly and unexpectedly, we recommend you book as early as possible if you are serious in securing your event! 

 

If I complete 1 of the 3 items needed to book (contract, quote, deposit), will it you hold my date or let me know if another client wants my date/time?

 

Unfortunately with the volume of inquiries and bookings we manage, we are not able to hold any dates or inform clients of other potential bookings on their date. The only way to secure out your booking is to successfully complete all 3 items. 

 

Can I wait to book my wedding till after I have my trial?

 

You may always book a trial at any point without securing your wedding date. Instead of paying the $500 retainer to hold the wedding date and trial, you would simply need to pay 50% of the trial fee, and the remaining balance would be due on the trial date. PLEASE keep in mind that your wedding date can be sold if it is not secured with the contract quote and wedding retainer. If your wedding date becomes sold out before your trial you will be refunded your 50% deposit. 

 

 

Who are the members of your Team?

 

I am proud to be one of the only wedding artist companies in AZ that displays the individual portfolios of our Master Artists. You can see the Artist’s portfolios under the “About Me” section of the website.

 

Can I choose my artists?

 

You absolutely may! You would reserve an Elite Team (additional $150) to hold your particular artists for your big day. If you decide to book a Traditional Team, HVH will pick your artists for you 3-4 months out from your wedding date. 

 

Will my trial be with my artists on my wedding day? 

 

This is very important to our team as well and we do everything in our power to make sure our clients have a trial with their wedding day artists. If you book an Elite Team and reserve your artists, you may have a trial at any point with them. If you choose a Traditional Team, you would need to wait till the 3-4 month mark till the artists are locked in to each reservation if you wanted to be sure to have a trial with your particular artists.

 

The only other exception where you we could not guarantee the same artists would be if a bride did not have any flexibility in her trial schedule and her reserved wedding day artist(s) were not available for her trial date. However, The HVH Office Team would be transparent with those facts before the trial was booked.

 

How many people can you accommodate for my wedding?

 

We can accommodate parties of up to 50 based on our availability and timing.

 

How many artists will you bring to my wedding/event?

 

We book artists based on the demands of the wedding. Any party less than 4 makeup/hair packages will receive 1-2 artists, 5-8 packages in a party receives 2 artists, 9-11 packages in a party receives 3 artists, and 12-16 packages in a party receives 4 artists. Please inquire about parties 17 or more. 

 

How long will it take you to do makeup and hair for my party? -or- What time will you need to start the day of my wedding?

 

We ask that you secure 4-6 hours of beauty time for your wedding day. The start time will be based on the time that you and your photographer decide you need to start your pictures. 

 

 

 

Your contract states that “you cannot take services away from the quote, only add them.” I have 8 girls in my wedding party, 5 are positive they want services, and 3 are not sure. What do I do? 

 

As long as you meet the minimum set for you on your wedding date, we would recommend only securing the services you are positive on. This way you will not be financially responsible for any empty bookings. 

 

Can I add services to my quote later?

 

As long as we still have the availability, you absolutely may. Please let us know ASAP when you are ready to add services to your quote. We book out the day based on timing of the artists and services requested, so availability can change quickly and unexpectedly. 

 

What if I do not know how I want my makeup and hair for my wedding? Will you help me?

 

We would love to help you! We will ask you questions based on your personal style, color palette, mood of the wedding, comfort level and taste. From there, we will make recommendations that will be flattering for your skin tone, hair type/color, eye shape, etc.
